Patrol

It is small group of army soldiers or police officers sent to monitor a specific geographical area. It is also known as the beat. There are various types of patrol groups. The military petrol groups are sent in the enemy area both for monitoring as well as for combat purposes like the US patrol group. On the other hand the police patrol groups are meant to maintain the law and order situation in the area as well as to reduce the number of crime rates and illegal activates. In some school the term school patrol or class patrol term is applied for those students who are responsible for maintaining the discipline in the class.
