A group of people who leave their inhabitant country to outline in a new land a settlement subject to, or coupled with, the close relative nation. Colonies in olden times were founded from a mother-city not from a land-at-large. Bonds between a colony and its conurbation remained often close, and took precise forms. More than thirty Greek city-states had manifold colonies around the world. The focal point and Southern settlements were as different as night and day. Established for different economical and public reasons, these two colonial areas contribute to very few similarities. Reasons for their migration and their final destinations greatly prejudiced the outcome of each society. Everybody has something they feel that makes their lives easier, something a person becomes so accustomed to they could not live without it. Colony charters specified the land that an individual or conglomerate had the right to reconcile.
