Teen age is a that life stage time period in which children want to become independent. At this stage there is a great influence from their peers, therefore the child thought that they are now mature enough to take their decision. parents are those persons who always think for the benefit of their children. So, some people may be said that the parents should make their child decisions. As far as i am concerned, in teen age child must give the chance to make their own decision. There are some reasons for my opinion. Firstly, if the parents didn’t give their children a chance to make their own choices, the self-confidence self-assertiveness will be missing in their personality. These two personality element are very important to compete the today’s world demands. For example, i want to share my best friend experience. He wants to choose his own interest profession subject as he was interested in doing electrical engineering and he knows well its the best profession in which he will excel in future. His parents forced him to choose the medical and they admitted him medical studies. The result of this was his poor class performances and finally he left that field. It was a loss of time and efforts for him. The reason of this failure was that the parents can’t evaluate their child potential in a particular field and due to lackness in motivation and interest these were the major causes of his failure. Similarly, one of my friend residing in my neighbor. She wants to enjoy her life by going outside the home and enjoy her friends gathering, wants to choose her own choice clothes according to the latest fashion. But her parents they always imposing their decisions on her,i-e don’t go outside just stay at home always, never bother her choice in clothes. This result in her tedious personality and she was impassive because her number of friends were just few. So, according to my point of view parents are rigid in their decisions and they don’t know about the latest trends. I conclude that parents guidance is always necessary for their child as they are the only one in this world who always think for the best of their child without any mean. But in some situations they have to alow their children to take their own decision and to buildup self-confidence.
