Plague is an infectious disease which is contagious in nature. One of the three main forms of plague is septicemic plague that usually spreads through the bite of an infected flea.It occurs when the bacterium “pestis” enters the blood stream and causes abdominal pain, bleeding from mouth or nose, diarrhea, fever, chills and nausea. Septicemic plague can be life threatening because if a patient do not take antibiotics recommended by the doctor then he won’t be able to survive. However, septicemic plague may cause death before any symptom appears.
