Interviews are a form of primary research. Interviews can be structured or unstructured. In structured interviews, the interviewer prepares a set amount of structured questions. However, in an unstructured interview, the interviewer has prepared a few structured questions, but depends on the response of the interviewee, to continue the interview further. An unstructured interview may have advantages and disadvantages. By an unstructured interview, the interviewer may have detailed research material. He/she may have many perspectives to the research topic. However, such interviews are a lot time consuming and further discussion may lead to disagreement between the interviewer and interviewee.
