Athletes are the representatives of their institutes .Athletes illuminate the name of their college at both national and international level when they win the match.It is my contention that appreciation has a powerful impact on athletes as it encourage them to go higher next time.Rewarding is not limited to monetary rewards.If college students would be paid for playing it will also encourage the other students to participate in extra-curricular activities.There are innumerable students in each institute who can’t afford their college fees and many other expenses.In this way they can get a chance to fulfill their expenses by indulging themselves in extracurricular activities.So college athletes should be paid for playing.
