It has been asserted that foreign languages such as English and Arabic are not necessary to be a part of mandatory course in the educational institutes. Although this statement may be endorsed by some, I strongly disagree as language like English is spoken worldwide and is the need of an hour to achieve succes in the world.
To commence, the primary reason that international languages must remain part of the curriculum is to render communication easy thorughout the world. To cite an example, it is very difficult to learn each and every language like Chinese, Spanish or French. Therefore, there must be one language that have been studied around the globe so it would make the world understands each other, no matter what is the primary language.
In addition, job opportunities are more in the developed countries like the United kingdom or the USA and both are English speaking countries. In order to get visa, one must have to clear English language proficiency exams like IELTS or TOFEL. For instance, medical professionals are required to get 7.5band out of 09 in the English test. After they get the required band, they are eligible to apply for the visa. Therefore, foreign languages are imperative to learn from school time, so that it is easy to qualify language exams and avail jobs in the foreign countries.
In conclusion, I reiterate that foreign languages are important to learn and muat be included in the curriculum in order to communicate with other fellows around the world and to prosper in one’s own field.
