The table below shows the consumer durables (telephone, refrigerator, etc.) owned in Britain from 1972 to 1983. Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below.

The table below shows the percentage of consumer durables owned in Britain from 1972 to 1983.
The highest number of consumer durable that is owned by British people is television at 98% in 1983. Whereas, the lowest number of ownerships is recorded in terms of dishwasher at 3% in both 1978 and 1979. The greatest increase is noted in telephone from 42% in 1972 to 77% in 1983, while no consumer durable experience a decline in ownership. The most famous consumer durable turned out to be a television which was owned by 93% in 1972 and rose to 98% in 1983.

It is interesting to note that the ownership of video started from 18% in 1983; whereas ownership of dishwasher started from 3% in 1978 to 5% in 1983. Moreover, the ownership of vacuum cleaner surged from 87% in 1972 to 95% in 1982, before plummeting to zero in 1983.
