In these days, it is common to see more or less children engaged in some kind of paid work. I believe, it may have positive as well as negative impact on the children. Positive in a sense, it will give an edge in securing good job in future. While negative, as it may develop greediness of money in children.
Whenever children grow up and move into the professional career, job experience plays an important role. Even if their job required online work, it definitely gives an edge. For example, according to a research by the university, children having some sort of previous work experience landed on a full-time job sooner, as compared to those who had no prior work experience. Therefore, children who are engaged in some kind of paid work not only develops good learning and responsibility among themselves, also increase their chances of getting a good full-time job.
Conversely, children who do some kind of paid job are more likely to develop attraction towards earning money rather completion of education. This is the reason, children may move on to full-time job without completing their formal education. For instance, according to a national survey the most common reason for not completing undergraduate education was to be able to start earning even before the completion of studies. Due to this, most of the parents allow their children to do voluntary work for limited time, so they do not develop an addiction of earning money without completing their education.
Hence, I believe, paid work can have a positive and negative impact on the children, as it helps in securing good job in future but may develop greediness of money in children.
