Karachi, The Karachi Transport Action Committee has demanded of the government to take action against the petrol pump/CNG station owners for closing the business soon as they learn that the rates of petroleum products and CNG are being increased.Ashraf Banglori, Chaudhry Mazhar Hussain, Tanzeem Khan, Nazeer Banglori and others of Action Committee in a joint statement on Sunday said the ministry leaks out through the media reports of hike in prices two days prior to notification every week. Soon as the owners get the reports, they use to close down petrol pumps/CNG stations a day or two earlier just to earn more creating problems for transporters and the citizens, they noted.The transport leaders urged the government to make the petrol pump/CNG station owners continue their business ensuring supply of fuel to the transporters and take action in case of violation.They said petrol pump/CNG station owners are the beneficiaries of frequent hike in petroleum prices.
