Botany is about the scientific study of plants. ”Plants for the mostly people means a wide range of some things like bacteria to the largest living organism i.e. sequoia( a name of a tree ). According to this definition, plants includes: algae, fungi and many others like this. The scientist of now a days believe that these bacteria, algae, fungi are in their own kingdoms, but most generally the courses teaches in the field of botany and most departments at colleges/university, still teach about all these groups.
