Communication is a process through which people can express and transfer their feelings, emotions, ideas with other person. Their are many sources of communication now a days. Due to the advancement in technology people can communicate through emails, letters etc. So there are some advantages and disadvantages for this medium. As far as i am concerned, face-to-face communication has more advantages. I have some examples to support my openion. Firstly, if there is a face-to-face communication between people there are few chances of being misleading information or misunderstanding. Face-to-face communication include gestures, expressions that are missing in other communication medium. For example sometimes when a person written a very polite statement in letter there can be a possibility that the other perceive it as harsh because other person is not be able to read the expression and gestures of that person. For example, in criminal inspection the face-to-communication gives the right information rather that a question answer on telephone. The investigator can read the truth through the person eyes, facial expression and thus could be able to take the right decision. Similarly, if a company wants to hire a person for marketing position, it is better to do face-to face communication interview because marketing job position demand a graceful personality and convincing power in that person communication and its only possible for the company to judge these qualities by having face-to-face communication as his body language will give the company management a clear perception that how long this person will be beneficial fr them. So, i conclude that all the sources of communication has advantages because in some situations there isn’t possible to have a face-to-face communication. However, i conclude that face-to-face communication is a best and preferable way of transferring your ideas, feelings thoughts to other people.
