Fatherhood should be emphasized as much as motherhood because the decision of having babies is dependent upon mutual relationship and actions. Also, law dictates the responsibility of both mother and father in terms of brought up of children.
In spite of the fact, the society varies in terms of male and female dominated households but decision of having babies either from man or woman is contingent upon mutual relationship and actions and cannot be fulfilled without the consent of both parties. For instance, if man is not willing to have a baby or vice versa, then no one can force either of them to do so, even law safeguards their rights in terms of parenthood. So, it would be incorrect to say that having babies is in control of mothers only, due to which the responsibility of bringing up the children also rests with them.
Similarly, if the decision of having a baby is taken then it is equal responsibility of father as compared to mother for bringing the children up because the decision was dependent upon the actions of bother parents. For instance, the law in Pakistan requires men to pay for the expenses related to the bringing up of children even after the divorce between husband and wife. Hence, not exonerating men from the responsibility of bringing up of children even after divorce.
Therefore, fatherhood need to be emphasized as of equal importance as motherhood because women are not totally responsible of having babies which also binds men with the responsibility of bringing up of children.
