It is the utmost responsibility of every parent to teach his child how to behave properly. It is said that mother’ lap is the first place from where teaching starts. Although teaching a child financial planning is important but teaching good behavior comes first. Companies announce bounces for employees who outperforms other employees because it makes result oriented employees feel that they have been rewarded for their hard work and makes inefficient employees realize that they will have to work hard to sustain on their positions. Same is the case with children. Parents should use the strategy of knife and carrot in psychological development of their children. For example, a child should be given extra pocket money or a chocolate as a reward if he regularly completes his homework. Such policy lures him to work hard further to achieve new heights.
Parents can make a child study if he is not actively taking interest in study by contracting the pocket money. It makes the child realize that he should study because only in this way he can get his pocket money. Similarly, strategy of rewarding children on behaving properly teaches them what is wrong and what is right. It gives them lesson of life time that goodness pays off and they should behave in a proper manner.
