It is a general observation that young people can work more efficiently then older people. This is because when one is young his body and mind functions in optimal manner. Young people usually do not need to worry about any disease which can hinder their performance. During youth ones aspirations, dreams and goals keep him going. Most of people want to achieve their life objectives during youth. Or at least achieve some of them.
It may come to mind, if companies replace all their old or senior aged staff with young individuals. They could get more work done in less time. It might seem simple but in reality things are much complex. Most of employees young or senior, support their families in some way. Taking jobs away from old people is unjustified and inhumane. There will be a financial crisis and poverty rate will shoot.
Old and senior staff is also most experienced. With time they have faced more problems in a company and worked on respective solutions. However younger inexperienced employees may get stuck in a problem in absence of senior staff. The company may have to outsource the problem for its solution.
Corporate and government sectors have their own work age limits and retirement plans. This varies in countries and cities as well. When an individual reaches retirement age, he is replaced by a comparatively younger person. I some companies employees can also apply for early retirement. This is the natural hierarchy system in companies. Making abrupt changes can have unwanted consequences on employees.
