I will prefer giving a pet animal as a gift to a child. Choice of pet animal to gift will depend on the liking of the child. This is because pets act as good friend to everybody and a child caring for his/her pet, feeling affection and association with the animal will assist him/her in developing positive traits in his/her personality. These manners will include protecting and respecting other living things.
