Coma

It is medical state when a person fails to respond to external stimuli for a period of 6 hours. Coma is also a novel written by ROBIN COOK. The basic theme of this novel was that someone was intentionally poisoning people during general anesthesia by providing them carbon monoxide instead of oxygen thus causing brain death, thus inducing the coma state. These brain death people were then used for the purpose of organ transplant without the consent of their relatives and friends. Their organs were sold in the black market at a very high price and the head of department was involved in this entire abhorring and illegal act; however the novel came to sad end as the young doctor who was trying to uncover this entire conspiracy was killed at the end, & these monsters remained hidden forever.
