Santa Claus and Christmas

It is a joyful, peace loving, mythical character in christen community that is associated with Christmas. Traditionally he posses to be an old man with red clothes white beard and sometimes glasses, who is known to give gifts to children on 24th of December a night before Christmas. The word Santa is derived from Saint Nicholas who started this tradition. The gifts of Santa are made in his special home by a small creatures know as elf. With the dawn of modern technology and the rise of science this story of Santa has been commercialized as the models of Santa and Christmas tree starts to appear a week before the Christmas in all the mega stores in Europe. But the basic theme of this character is to spread love and harmony on the sacred festival of christens community and idea of distribution of gifts consolidates this concept.
