Ielts Writing part one

These pictures illustrate how tomato ketchup is made, and how it is used with different meals. There are 15 stages in the diagram, from picking tomatoes and putting them into the basket, and to enjoying it with the hamburger.
The first step is to pick up the grown tomatoes and differentiate the good and bad tomatoes. Once the good tomatoes are picked, they are sent to do the further process of making it into the ketchup. After removing the seed, skin and stalk from the tomato, then they are put into the container to crush them and then add sugar, vinegar, and salt. After adding the essential ingredients, it is then boiled and leave for two hours. The final form is poured which is in the form of paste-like sauce in the bottle, and it is in the form of ketchup. After pouring it in the bottle, it is then labelled. The quality control is ensured.
To enjoy these bottles of ketchup with the meals, they are packed and sent to the supermarket. Once they reach the supermarket, everyone has the accessibility of buying it. In order to taste it with the hamburgers, you put the ketchup onto the plate, with hamburger. The final step is that you put this ketchup on your hamburger and enjoy the meal, with a whole different experience.

IELTS writing task 1

These pictures show how tomato ketchup is produced, and how we can use tomato ketchup with our meals. There are 15 stages in the diagram, from picking tomatoes and delivering them to homes for eating purposes.
The first step is plucking tomatoes from their plants, when they are ready and put them in a basket. After picking, we must sort out bad or good ones. Only good ones then go to the ketchup factory. Bad ones are removed by the sorting process. In the factory, they remove the seed, skin, and stalk it from tomatoes. Put them in a container and crush them into a paste-like sauce. Once the paste is ready then they add sugar, vinegar, and salt. After mixing it for a while then they are put in a container on the stove and boil it for two hours. Finally, ketchup is made after boiling it. Now put this ketchup into bottles and label them.
They ensure quality by checking and inspecting carefully, then qualified products are packed into boxes and dispatched to the supermarket. From the supermarket, we buy ketchup and use it with fast food.

Most parents allow their children to play video games. What would be the advantages and disadvantages of it for the children?

Nowadays, we are living in an era where technology is so much more advanced. Everything is now digitalized and easily accessible for peoples who want to use it. Children of this generation love to play video games rather than physical games or do outdoor activities. However, in many countries, video games take over the big market and children use to play video games like FIFA, tekken, GTA and many more. This essay explores the advantages and disadvantages of video games and proposes some solutions.

One of the main advantages of video games is that they improve long-term focus skills. Many students lack focus on studies and other activities. Video games improve the time span of focus, which will help them in their studies as well. Many countries encourage parents to allow children to play video games for better focus. Studies show that children who play video games have more focus than children who don’t.

Now, discussing disadvantages will affect the mental health of children who play more video games. Children who spend most of their time in front of the screen playing video games will cause stress. Many games are designed they increase the difficulty level step by step. This will increase intense pressure on players. Children are eager to complete the task quickly if they don’t this will trigger them and games are like that they are not easy to complete quickly. According to the survey children who play video games have more number of mental disorder as compared to children who don’t play.

In conclusion, if we talk about solutions we would ensure a balance between video games and physical outdoor games. If we are able to keep the balance between them that will help them to grow as an active mind and with less mental stress. In this way, we will train them how to keep balance they will improve a lot in their studies as well as in co-curricular activities. I believe nowadays, video games are essential for children but always remember to balance physical activities and video games.

Crime rate is increasing these days. What are the causes of it and what are the solutions?

The world is growing so fast we are living an era where people are not able to help each other and everyone was busy doing his own work. Crime rate increasing day by day in many different countries. Mostly people do crime for money. Crime effects the growth of the country if they don’t take serious measurements. When accountability is neglecting the crime rate is increasing. Lets talk about causes and solutions for crime rate in this essay.

One of the main causes of crime is poverty. People who are living below the average of poverty line, they are surviving hand to mouth. People who suffers are ready to earn money at any cost . They forget the right way to earn money they start committing crime because they have no option left. According to crime ration record 90% people who are poor they commit crime as compared to those who are living above the poverty line. In solution government should provide shelter and food for homeless or jobless people. If government reduce poverty in the country, this will reduce the crime to great extend.

Another cause of crime rate increasing is that lack of awareness. People mostly don’t know the actual fact why they are committing the crime like killing someone for no reason , over speeding and bribing etc. This become habit of most of the people they do crime without any reason. From my personal experience I have seen people committing crime despite the crime is at small level it is considered to be crime. For this government should increase awareness by giving them better education. Education create awareness among people and help to understand the things logically. This will help to reduce crime rate in any country.

Nowadays, usage of mobile by children is increasing day by day. Some parents have restricted their children of the usage of the mobile, while other parents allow their children to use the mobile. Parents who allow their children to use mobile for the video games are increasing now. There are many pros and cons of using mobile.

Let’s begin with the advantages of plying video games. One of the main advantage of playing video game is that It helps to build the problem solving trait in children. As the main purpose of most video games is to do the missions and solve the puzzle, it needs a lot of thinking to solve them. As in the games like Chess, Pes, Candy Crush etc. You have to cross different stages in order to proceed further. Furthermore, It creates a ability of responding quickly to different challenges in the children and this habit help them in the future. For example, Research of Stanford University shown that the children ho play video games have 40 % sharper mind than the children who do not play video games.

Turning to the other side of the document, The main disadvantage of usage of mobile and plying video games is that children do not play physical sports. Children who play video games mostly play only online games and sports. They do not participate in the physical sports and games. Moreover, They do not participate in gatherings of children to play different sports. Due to this they cannot interact with the other children. Because of not plying physical sports, They get tired too early and their physique is not good. For example, Survey of UHS shows that Children plying physical sports have 30 % more immunity than the children who do not participate in physical sports.

To sum up, children prefer more video games than physical activates. There are pros of plying video games like it fastens the process of finding the solutions of problems, and cons of less social interaction. Personally, I believe that advantage of not taking stress to problems weigh up to the disadvantage of video games.

Crime rate is increasing these days. What are the causes of it and what are the solutions.

Nowadays, the ratio of People opting for the crime is increasing. People do crimes for various reasons and it is not being controlled by the higher authorities. Thus more and more people are doing crimes. This essay will look for the reasons of the crimes and purpose some solution.

One of the main cause of the people going for the crimes is Inflation. As the population is increasing globally, Inflation is spreading. There is unequal distribution of the money and food. People do not have the opportunities to earn the money. Also, feed their family. As they have not access to the money and food, they opt for the criminal ways to fulfill their needs. When crime rate is increased, it spreads fear and instability in the region. For example, Survey of IMF shows that Crime rate in countries where Inflation is high have 60 % crime rate.

Turning towards the solution part, governments should provide equal opportunities of earning to all the public. Policymakers should make policies in a way, It provide equal opportunities for all the public. Unless people have opportunities of earning, they will do crimes. For example, Research of Milano University shows that happiest countries like Iceland and Norway have under 5 % crime rate because of opportunities of earning provided by the government.
To sum up, Crime rate has increased in the recent past because of the Overpricing. This is a real problem and uncles public have more facilities this rate will even increase. My view is that the solution lies in the equal opportunities by the government to the public.

It is considered by some indigenous that, taking risks is important for masses in their personal and professional lives. This essay will articulate the benefits of taking risks, are more than its drawbacks. It leads them to new discoveries, and overcome fears. Also, there is a risk of life in some cases, and financial loss.

To commence with disadvantages, some people doing things by taking risks for doing difficult tasks, which leads them to severe injuries, and some lost their lives as well. For example, a renowned newspaper report a news about people trying to cross the rail track before the train coming towards them, were died or some faced serious injuries. Moreover, I saw a friend who invested his all money in stocks for profit by taking a risk of loss, he lost all of his money after a sharp decrease in particular company’s shares. Hence, I believe that taking risks sometime becomes a unforgettable memory to people and their families.

Moving towards the advantages, there are multifarious benefits of taking risks. However, the prominent one is new explorations. Individuals who take risks by going unexplored areas, or in oldest cities to explore some ancient things, by ignoring that there are probably lethal animals and insects were lived, or some dangerous places where they can’t get any help from governments. Still they are able to find something new for the world. For example, a US lawmaker found that, a group of explorers found a 1000 years old tomb in the middle of the jungle in California, where no one can reach before. And this will help the country to attract more tourists from all over the world.

Another reason for taking risks is that, people can overcome their fears. For instance, If a person has height phobia and he/she is always trying the highest places to visit. However, when they take risk for one time most probably their fear will be gone, and they can start enjoying on these places where they never went before.

In conclusion, although there are disadvantages of taking risks like life threat and financial losses, I believe advantages of taking risks are more.

The chart below illustrates the information about the average cost-of-living in two cities Riverdale and Cape Alicia as compared to the national average cost-of-living.

Firstly, as we can see the cost-of-living in Riverdale, housing is very expensive in this city at 19% above the national average. Secondly, the cost of health care is also 7% high from the national average. Thirdly, clothing is also 5.5% above of the national average. Lastly, the cost of groceries, utilities and transportation is as well above the national average as 4.7%, 4.5% and 4% respectively.

In contrast, Cape Alicia is very affordable as compared to the Riverdale. Opposite to Riverdale cost of housing in Cape Alicia is too low, it’s -12.5% below the national average. Second cheaper thing is transportation here -3.8% below the national average cost-of-living. Lastly, clothing, health care and groceries are almost near the national average cost with the difference of 0.5% to 1 percent above.

Many people believe 100 years ago life is not good, now the life is far better than past. I completely agree with this statement life is much better now. One century ago we don’t have as much facilities that we have now, like better transportation system and better medicines.

Hundred years ago when people want to go somewhere far, or for the treatment of a patient there are not very good transportation system available. However, now we have more advanced and fast transports to move from one place to another, these are very fast and reliable for everyone to reach their destination even if you want to go another country. Secondly, this also helps to shift patients to hospitals in case of emergency. For example, once I want to attend the important business conference in a city that located 900 miles away and I only have few hours to reach their. So, used to book the air ticket took the flight and reached the destination in 2 hours. If I faced this situation in past I definitely miss that conference that cost my heavily.

Although there are many hospitals and doctors available in 100 years back, there are not much facilities and medicines to save patients life. Many diseases have now treatment in that time that caused to death for many people. However, now our pharmaceutical companies are very advanced and there are a lot of new discoveries that take medical treatments in new highs. Due to these revolutionary changes in medical field, now there are more possibilities to save human life. And mortality rate is very low now. For example, one of my friends who is an adventurer, once he was in jungle for some adventures an unknown insect bite him and that was too poisons. But when he shifted to the hospital there are pretty decent diagnostic system available, the doctors immediately found the which poison is that and they give him the antinode and saved his life. In past there are many cases in history there are a lot of deaths happened due to unknown lethal insects’ poison.

I believe now life is much better than 100 years ago. Nowadays, we have more facilities to in our life from better transportation to better medical treatments, hundred years ago it is not possible.

In the diagram shown City park how it was before looks like and after revamping it how it has been re-designed in the same location.

In the first image it was shown where in the between of park is a road that linked both sides of park with each other. On the left side from this road in the park before renovated were two Basketball court and behind of them was a parking lot that was linked through to road where peopled parked there vehicle while they visited it. Later when it was reconstructed according to latest updates, Basketball court 2 vanished and replaced it with Parking lot that was on the right side from the road. On the other side from the road that means right side there was a garden and fountain that was demolished later and and removed the fountain from there as well as parking lot also was vanished from there and built over there a swimming poll.

It is thought that the information regarding politicians’ personal lives should not be shared in print media. This essay strongly agrees with this suggestion because publishing these details could be harmful to their families, and obtaining this type of information might require breaking the law.

First and foremost, what makes that the details related to private aspects of politicians’ lives should not be shared in newspapers is that it could be harmful not only to these individuals but also their families. This is because revealing some details from their personal lives could expose them to unwanted comments or allegations, which might lead to a great deal of distress. In Poland, for instance, in 2015, the vice-prime minister committed suicide due to not handling the pressure caused by the paparazzi invading his and his family’s private life.

Furthermore, obtaining this type of information, in most cases, means breaking the law. This is because the right to privacy is one of the most fundamental policies in society, and anyone who wants to access the lives of politicians must obtain their consent. However, not only are paparazzi hired to invade properties belonging to politicians to take photos without their permission, but also politicians’ colleagues and relatives are bribed to share confidential facts from their lives. For instance, an accident in which Princess Diana was killed was partly caused by the paparazzi who followed her car, trying to take photos of her and her boyfriend against their will.

In conclusion, I strongly support the suggestion that politicians’ lives should not be subject to the interest of newspapers because revealing personal facts from politicians lives could destroy their family life and the process of obtaining these details often required wrongdoing.

In many professional sports, it is becoming commonplace for athletes to abuse prohibited substances to boost their overall performance. This essay will discuss how stiff competition and lax testing systems are the main cause of this problem, and the most suitable solutions are imposing heavier punishments on violators and revamping testing facilities.

The main cause of this problem is the fierce competition that exists in any sports. In other words, most many professional athletes feel they have too take substances like steroids to give themselves an advantage over other strong opponents. A viable solution is to heavily punish lawbreakers. If sports clubs and establishments raise the fine for using banned substances, many athletes will think twice before making attempt to cheat.

Another reason is the lack of strictness in testing procedures. Many athletes who take advantage of banned substances can still get off scot-free due to the holes in testing systems. For example, a high-profile mix martial artist named Jon John who is notorious for using PED described how easy it was to get away with cheating in an interview in 2015. The best way to deal with this issue is to upgrade testing amenities. This will eradicated any holes existing in the system and ensure that the test result is highly accurate.

An increase number of marries couples around the world choosing to remain childless. The main benefits of not having a child for couples are they can focus on their careers and have more time for themselves. The main drawbacks are that they could not fit into their peers’ group and have no one to look after them when they get old.

On primary advantage of remaining childless for married couples is that they can focus on their work. This is because they have less responsibility and distractions in their lives compared to the couples that have a child. Another advantage of this is that they have more spare time. Looking after a child is a full-time job for parent and taking most of their time, while child-free couples have lots of free time after work. For example, many couples stop going out late with their friends after having a child as they have to stay at home looking after their children.

On disadvantage of couples deciding not to have children is that they can struggle to hang with their peers after most or them have children. Most parents prefer to spend more time with other couples that have children as well. Moreover, do not have anyone to look after them in their elderliness in another disadvantage. Children are the ones who take care of their parents when they get old because their parents did the same for them when they were young. For instance, the vast majority of the people who live in care homes have no child.

In conclusion, the main benefits of staying child-free for couples are that they can be more career-oriented and have more free time for themselves, and the main drawbacks are that they could have problems about fitting into their friends’ group and having no one to take care of them when they become older.

Surprisingly, for both the cities, lowest footfall was recorded in spring where as, in fall this number rose up for both of the cities.

Where as, the number of tourists recorded for the spring and winter seasons were around 5,000, which is quite low. Some people believe that children should be taught by their parents about how to function as useful members of society, while others believe that sending children to educational institutions is the best way for them to study this. Although the latter opinion can be beneficial in some cases, I believe that family upbringing plays a more important role in educating children to be good parts of the community.

Schools can be considered suitable places for children to learn to be good citizens. With standardized educational methods, schools can foster children’s cognitive development so that they are able to contribute to society in the future. For example, Trung Vuong school and Vinschool are well known for having nurtured successful alumni such as Professor Ngo Bao, Professor Nguyen Hung who have devoted their talents to the development of the country. However, these people only represent a small fraction of the number of students attending schools, and thus children to school cannot be the best method of educating then to be good members of society.

I believe that parents play a more important role In teaching then how to be good citizen. In Vietnam, the average class size is 20 students, which makes it difficult for educators to provide proper schooling for each student. One to one lessons at home, one the other hand, allow children to progress faster. Furthermore, parents from stronger bonds with their offspring and thus, it is easier for them to shape children’s personalities at an early age. For example, by telling stories such as Robin Hood, Cinderella before bedtime, parents can instill a sense of compassion and integrity into them. These children are likely to become good members of society when they grow up.

In conclusion, although sending children to schools can be seen as a way of teaching then how to be good citizen, I believe that domestic upbringing has a bigger impact on determining who they are in the future.

Nowadays, people discard things when they get ruined, however, in the ancient times, the people used to get them altered and repaired to use them for a longer time. My essay will shed some light on this perspective and will reveal the outcomes of this change.

To commence with, the elderly people were attached to their things emotionally as they do care for their personal things and belonging. They believe in keeping things for a longer time due to emotional attachment. For example, once upon a time my aunt told me that she brought a toy to her home after getting married as it was a gift from her mother. And it was a gesture of love and care.
